The terms and conditions regulate the legal relationship between the visitors and the Musikfestspiele Sanssouci und Nikolaisaal Potsdam gGmbH or the third-party organizers. They are an integral part of the contract that comes into being through the purchase of tickets.
The gGmbH sells tickets for third-party events in the name and for the account of the respective organizer. The respective organizer is responsible for the artistic content and the realization of the event. Therefore, any claims are to be directed only against the organizer and not against gGmbH. Payment
Online: by direct debit and immediate bank transfer (Sofortüberweisung), by credit card (VISA- and Mastercard, in case of postal delivery 2 € postage and delivery), booking confirmation= proof of purchase.
Ticket Galerie: cash, direct debit card, credit card (for telephone booking only) or invoice (+ postage and delivery 3,50 €). Tickets are sent out until 4 days before the performance and afterwards they are available from the box office at the venue. No liability for loss of tickets is assumed. Reservations can be made in the Ticket Galerie for a period of up to 7 days and are binding.
Box office at the respective venues opens 1 hour before the performance commences, opens 2 hours before open-air performances unless stated otherwise
Performances are staged following health and hygiene regulations as applicable in June 2022. Tickets cannot be returned in case a ticket holder has an insufficient protection status.
Tickets cannot be returned and exchanged. This also applies to cases of changes in cast, program or partially fulfilled bookings.
In case an event is cancelled, ticket prices can be returned within four weeks of the cancellation upon presentation of the original ticket and from the point of sale where the ticket was purchased originally only. Any further claims are excluded. Weather related interruptions of open-air performances do not entitle ticket holders to a return of ticket prices.
Young Festival Ticket (JFT) for young people aged up to 30 Jahre from all ticket outlets and online (limited number of seats available). Valid photo id must be presented at the entrance.
Reduced ticket prices for children, school and university students, trainees, military service staff, unemployed people and handicapped people are available upon presentation of relevant id from the box office at the venue on the day of the performance one hour prior to the beginning of the performance. Tickets are available in advance for severely handicapped people with a B-registered disability upon availability.
Resticted viewing and listening only seats are clearly marked (in churches, some palace rooms and palace theatre. Advice for wheelchair users regarding barrier free access to the historical venues at the Music Festival Potsdam Sanssouci is available online at accessibility or please contact the Ticket Galerie of Nikolaisaal Potsdam. Tickets and their discounts can be booked upon presentation of the relevant documents at Ticket Galerie only.
Admission: doors open 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the performances, this does not apply to guided tours, speeches and specially marked admission times. There is no right to late admission once a performance has started. Seats may be taken during intermissions if applicable. Sometimes changes in seating arrangements may become necessary resulting in slightly different seats. We aim to keep any inconvenience to an absolute minimum and ask for your understanding.
Recording of images and sounds
Any recording of images and sounds during performances at the Music Festival Potsdam Sanssouci is strictly prohibited. Non-compliance may lead to damage claims and result in exclusion from attending any further events and performances.
TV and/or Radio Stations might record and broadcast some performances. This may result in restricted viewing. Upon purchasing a ticket, the visitor agrees to these recordings and to the possible recording and depiction of herself.
By purchasing a ticket, the visitor consents to being informed about future events, program changes and cancellations. They visitor has the right to withdraw their consent. To protect historical floors, high heels must not be worn inside the palaces.
We recommend bringing warm and weatherproof clothing as well as mosquito protection to the open-air events. In case of rain please refrain from using umbrellas, as they might interfere with other people’s viewing. Pets are not allowed. Please refrain from bringing food and drinks, appropriate catering is provided.
Only a very limited number of parking spaces are available on the premises of the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg (charges apply). Please use public transport. Cycling is permitted in Park Sanssouci and New Garden on the demarcated cycling lanes only. The German traffic and transport / highway code applies. Special buses are available after selected concerts from the venues to Potsdam central Station. Charges apply.
